Many see nothing ahead but a menacing storm.

I see a gentle road through dappled hills of green; a chance to fuse myself with the swirling clouds above; to catch the sweet scent of grass and trees.

I welcome the strong, cooling winds, the torrential rain about to fall, the lightning that will enliven me.  Such serendipity to be here at just the right moment.

I don't see danger ahead.  I see life.

This is for my eldest daughter, Jasmine Marie, who is about to board a plane headed for the City of Angels to pursue her dreams.  She will, without a doubt, make an enormous positive impact in the film industry.

I'm excited to watch her next chapter unfold, and extremely proud to be her mother.

The very best omelette I've ever enjoyed was in beautiful New Hampshire.

I had traveled down from my stay on Mount Liberty and found a cozy little cafe for breakfast.  The omelette was at least 3 inches high with bacon, cheese, and sauteed mushrooms spilling out onto my plate.  That, along with an order of tasty sausage and golden hashbrowns made for a breakfast to remember!

Road trip?

I've been asked to volunteer my time and talent at a local elementary school.  Seems I will be creating the backdrops for their upcoming spring play of
"Peter Pan".  This should be fun, and I'm very much looking forward to it.
Probably the most satisfying thing I can do, with any of my projects, is to inspire others.  I've inspired many young people over the years who have gone onto careers as artists.

There's simply no better reward...

A simple, lucid thought:

Nothing like coming home, opening the front door, and catching the wonderful scent of freshly-baked cookies.

There was a period in my life that a day didn't go by that I wasn't baking something wholesome and from scratch.

Special times.

I've had quite a desire, as of late, to get back to the country; do some hiking, camping, fishing, gardening, and just plain real livin'.

Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. Designed by Italian architect Carlo Lurago, this is a beautiful baroque church built by the Jesuits between 1654 and 1666.

In 1762, it was extensively damaged by fire. The only parts of the original decoration that remained preserved are the frescos in St. Ignatius’s Chapel and the painting Glorification of St. Ignatius of Loyola by Petr Brandl (around 1730).

The altar painting of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Kristián Noldinger and other decorations were completed after 1765. The church towers were finally erected in 1857. The interiors were rebuilt several times, while the largest reconstruction took place at the beginning of the 20th century and in 1941-1945.

I found this interesting: Many of the Easter Island "heads" actually have perfectly-sculpted bodies lying well below the surface.

Fascinating: Cleopatra’s Kingdom, Alexandria, Egypt.
Lost for 1,600 years, the royal quarters of Cleopatra were discovered off the shores of Alexandria.
